Meh, graduations mean more to some people than to others. Just take it in stride and let people enjoy their family members accomplishments.

All the more reason to behave with some class and dignity. If you don't know how, google "graduation etiquette" on your Obama phone.

Back off Kafka. It wasn't me. I conducted myself well, and later I will make a thread about SUBR graduation.

Were there any cops beating any of those folks at these graduations?

If you're graduating with a bunch of trashy people, the degree you're getting is probably not worth much. Get a master's degree and graduate with 20 people, and you'll get what you want.

My family didn't do all that. Funny though. Good friend of mine graduates tomorrow. Asked me if I was going. I politely told him frick no. The next graduation I ever attend will probably be for my children.

They should've just stopped the whole thing and made a point to call the people out. Nobody has the balls to do that nowadays because it's been repeatedly beaten into their heads that being a subservient white guy is the way you're supposed to be

It ain't a black/white issue. I attended two HS graduations in Huffman Texas for my nephews. Public school. Trashy whites, Mexicans, and blacks at both events. My family was one of a handful that wore slacks, ties, sports coat, etc. most of the other attendees were dressed for a trip to the local mall.
Very few people have any since of decorum any more and they certainly have no respect or reverence for anything.

It's socio-economic. The poorer the family, the bigger the accomplishment of graduating high school. Thus they act more foolish.

Same reason lower income people make such a big deal out of prom. It'll be their biggest party.

I hate all boring arse ceremonial bullshite, so I will likely never attend another graduation for anyone.

I skipped my own college graduation, but my wife made me go to hers. That was the final one.

I don't know how those deans and such who have to attend 2 or 3 a year manage to avoid suicide.

Every graduation I've ever been to has been a horrible time. High school, different college graduations, doesn't matter. Always some overzealous people screaming, always a black fraternity barking and shite. Everything takes too long, half of the speech is boring. Just a miserable experience.

i am not a fan of graduations, either. my family forced me to go to all of mine

honest question

why are we supposed to take rude arse selfish people "in stride", especially when they disrupt the event for hundreds of others?

especially when they disrupt the announcement of kids to where their family can't hear the name
