Disgusting. They both need to be permanently banned from HS sports. That was absolutely intentional. OP needs to give us an update.

No link, but I saw an interview on TV with the local law enforcement saying they were investigating. They also said that the players could face felony assault charges because they used there pads and helmets as weapons. These kids could go away for a very long time with the right judge.

I honestly can't believe this doesn't happen more, but this was nuts and couldn't believe it when I saw it. Honestly one of the biggest wtf sports moments thus far in my life.
John Jay High school is ghetto as frick so I mean some kids doing that doesn't really surpise me (compared to seeing someone from Allen, Highland Park etc. do it).
Right now, I think both of those kids need to be charged with assault and if it's found that anyone else on that team was aware that was going to happen; whether it's a coach or even one other player, then you shut that team's program down for the year. You have to set a tone now and do it swiftly before they play another game.
