Hertz rental : false not returned

First off, I'm watching the game
We live in Memphis
So my wife is in baton rouge early May for a wedding shower, we have had issues with range rover air suspension since big freeze..was in the shop several times. But was assured it was good..gets failure notice and we put in shop with a 5-10 turn around
Decide to rent car and ship RR back
May 5th pickup, May 6th drop off at Olive Branch airport...we drop it off at this tiny airport at 9a.m. in a parking lot with a Hertz sign and drop keys at desk that says rental return
A week later we start getting text and calls saying vehicle not returned. I talk to a guy for a half hour and he says you may get calls for a couple days, but issue is resolved. One week later I get a call from a Hertz investigator based out of Dallas. Explained sotch, gave them airport phone number. Get calls/ text for 2-3 more days.
A week later get a declined 9k charge on CC, immediately called Cap One and say don't approve anything over 500. They somehow get passed my credit limit and charge me 10.5k the next day. I dispute, Called Hertz in 3 places, sent dispute paperwork. Now my card shows dispute lost.
If I get an attorney, am I guaranteed Hertz pays my legal fees when I win?
Should have prefaced, OTs less than 30 not reply

Not too subtle “I have a Range Rover” brag

Why not get an attorney and ask him?
Is this a real thread?
God damn

Yeah, this sounds like a great idea.
About as great as buying that Range Rover.

Why didn't you return the car?

Did you not get the agent to check in the car and give you a receipt? If not I'm afraid you need to go buy your own AstroGlide because you're about to get Marcellus Wallace'd by Zed.

One of those yute rappers you enjoy listening to in your Range Rover surprised his cousin with a new car.

Does he look like a bitch?

I’d go to the airport and get a picture of the “leave keys here” sign immediately. Also, since you apparently paid for it, demand the title immediately.

With the evidence provided, you lose.
When I do late night truck drop offs, I take a picture of the dashboard showing mileage and gas level and a picture of the vehicle parked in front of their building. Actually every vehicle I have ever rented I take a picture of the gas, and it saved me excess charges twice.

So they charged you 10.5K for the value of the car?
