Herpes Rates by Race/Gender etc. This is horrifying.

UPDATE: The Stats are from 2018 with the exception of the one stat referenced from 2003.
I wondered what was up with all of these chicks making videos trying to normalize their herpes, so I decided to google some stats.
I'm either going to start triple wrapping, or become a monk.
Further supports my theory that women sleep around far more than their husbands/boyfriends think.
Herpes Statistics in Specific Populations
Genital herpes affects more Black than White Americans: 39.2% of the overall Black population, with 48% of Black women affected. (10)
The largest increasing population is White teenagers. (11)
One in four American teenagers has an STD.
50-75% of unmarried American women between 45 and 50 have genital herpes. (12)
Globally, an estimated 417 million people are infected with HSV-2. (13)
Overall lifetime genital herpes occurrence rates are 25% among white women, 20% among white men, 80% among Black women and 60% among Black men according to 2003 data (14).
Men who have sex with men are also at a higher risk.

I was talking with a female co-worker who is about 15 years younger and the topic of STDs came up. She said that herpes is not a deal breaker for most people now and its more accepted now to be herp positive. WTF? At least with the Clap you can get a shot and it goes away.
Damn, times have changed.
On a side note, I think the coworker was telling me she was DTF and that she had the herp. I'm too old for this shite.

I find that so hard to believe.
Maybe it’s just me and the group of friends I have but I’m 29 and going through high school and college at state I never once heard of anyone having herpes or an STD.
Now I am sure there were some and obviously that’s not something you broadcast to people but I would think it would have gotten out at some point.

Doesn't surprise me. Dating culture is completely different than even 7-8 years ago with the apps taking over.

Who the frick would talk about it? I only heard about girls having it twice. Both times it was because we were on the verge of banging and they were giving me the heads up that I should nope out or take my chances.
