Not everyone has their IQ checked so how do they know the “average”

If you’re going to shite on lower IQs, try not to sound like one

I haven’t taken an IQ test since GT program in 1979 (I’m not sure it was even IQ—basic aptitude). I was 5. Do people just regularly take IQ tests and have them reported publicly or to some bureau?

You definitely scored under 100.

By definition half the population is below average.
Edit: average…median…either way on the upslope or downslope of the dumpster pile of human intelligence.

It honestly depends on the sampling procedure and how well it is done.
There can easily be a bias based on how the data is collected, if you have a large enough sample size to assume the central limit theorem can be applied to assume a normal distribution and also on whether the IQ tests use are standardized and representative.
Lots of things to take in. I honestly don’t trust any of this shot, but they are below the average expected score by less than 5 points. It’s not like they are averaging 80.
Places like Massachusetts are going to have inflated numbers because of the 300+ colleges in the Boston Cambridge areas.

I would be more curious as to the median.
I've travelled all over the US...
Indian reservations and pensyltucky make the average North baton rouge challenger driver seem like elon musk.
Rock river felt like the movie Wrong Turn.

....show your work.
Given your sentence is...by definition... incorrect, can we make an assumption where you fall?

The percentage of Americans who have taken an IQ test is probably less than 1 percent.
They use to make us take one every year. We never got the score but if you had to have 135 or higher. Pretty sure we were a guinea pig group for a teaching style, we didn't have "classes", we just went to school, would test out of our class material then work on projects at our own pace. The most amount of time we would have for regular school work as 2 weeks, what they were teaching the other kids in 18 weeks... For middle school we were 1/2 and 1/2 as material got more complicated. I bowed out for high school because the school I would had to go to in order to stay in was an hour a way.
We also had to take the SAT, then SAT prep classes and RETAKE THE SAT 2 more times, all before getting out of middle school. Yup, they were doing research on us for sure, I guess that is what a combination of dirt poor and above average intelligence gets you.

I enjoy ban betting those on here to take the Stanford-Binet online test. It's akways funny to see the 25-30s posted (which honestly is quite a decent score)
A score of 25/50 puts you in the range of average. People get real upset about it for some reason.

The median or mode would be far more useful for drawing any conclusions.

The only thing I can assume from the results is that Louisiana has statistical anomalies worth investigating. Given the lack of koreans and jews... Does that mean the New Iberia baw is of ABOVE average intelligence?

Read the study. And maybe take a statistics course.

This board proves this numbers are wrong unless it’s like golf and the lower scores are better.
