I read or watched something in the last year that Jordan was probably going to leave for Adidas after the first couple of years with Nike. But, the designer Tinker Hatfield did some pretty good lobbying of Jordan, then his wizardry with the Air Jordan III saved the relationship.

I read somewhere that Jordan got paid more for the endorsement than the entire SE Asian workforce combined.

I had the 3's in elementary school. The 13s were the hot shoe when I went to college. I like the 11s though.

In the ESPN doc about endorsements, I believe it said that they hoped for $3 million in sales by year three, and they ended up surpassing $100 million the first year alone, or something like that. It was nuts.

He's the GOAT for more reasons than just basketball, and Lebron is a piece of shite.

I had the black with reflective tongue 5's my freshman year of HS. To me they are still the best looking shoe ever made.

Dude is and will always be THE biggest marketing sports star in the world. Whe current "biggest" stars are wearing your logo you win all arguments and debates.

The main reason why they will never have a true debate on "who is the greatest of all time"

MJ will forever have the LOGO to back him up.... the BRAND is everything... No Matter what insane talent or player comes along, MJ was in the right place and the right time with the move he made.

The better story is that MAGIC had the first opportunity to be the guy that would have put Nike on the Map.... but he passed.

Wild.
