Crawfish farming is a tough, dirty and time intensive business.

Unless you're buying direct from a farmer or their tenant, you probably need to understand how many other people are cutting in on that $2.50/lb.

They can't take $.50/lb and make it sustainable.

That’s all part of the plan to make us fat and die young so we can’t get social security and Medicare.

And this is exactly my point. These boys like to flap their lips without knowing anything. It's all just "muuuhh, some farmer is going to increase the cost of ma crawfish because it's hot."

Sad fact is, the farmer has very little to do with prices. But I'm sure loose lips didn't know that, either.

Agree. Taste better and don’t need as many per person. Got 40lbs of 16-20s a couple weeks ago for $85. Boiled 2lbs and deheaded then froze the rest.

That guys crawfish probably taste like crap. He uses flavors in his boil. Looks like it'd taste awful. What kind of upstanding Louisianan uses a boil booster. Woof.

I've been there for years. It costs too much, isn't worth the headache, and it frickin stinks. People act like it's instinctual to eat Crawfish. So much so, they will drive to converted snowball stands for it and pay out the nose. If someone had the balls, blowing the lid off the crawfish enigma in south Louisiana would be interesting. There is so much done behind the scenes to keep frothing at the mouth for water cockroaches.

Like what? and South LA isn't shite anymore in the retail crawfish market compared to Texas
