Agreed! This is all I care about. I'm getting older and tired of having to get my body to adjust to new times.
Just pick one and stay with it!

The big push is to remain on DST year round. Why?
Because we currently spend the majority of the year on DST.
I think most people just want to stop jumping around. The current setup has the sunrise/sunset change almost two hours in the two month period(s) before and after the change (October/November and February/March). The pros and cons aren’t even worth debating, lighting patterns change very gradually on their own making it easy to get used to. It’s stupid and always has been.

How much outdoor activity are you doing in the freezing winter? Maybe in Louisiana or Florida, but you ain't doing outdoor activities in the winter in most of the continental U.S.

“F getting dark at 5:30” don’t.
Untrue. We all know it's those 3 months, Nov - Jan, when it gets dark much earlier than we would like. It would push daylight to 6:15 or so in December. That would make me very happy! I also love it staying light till 8:30 or 9 in the summer. I think the kids who aren't in school like it as well.

So instead of adjusting school hours for the kids let's change time itself for an entire country.

It would also have you in the dark until 8:15 - 9:15am that time of the year. Bunch of zombies running around having been up for 3.5 hours before the sun comes up

I love having daylight past 8 pm, I am at work while it's dark in the morning and doesn't matter to me if it's dark.

I prefer it getting dark sooner. It’s hot in Texas and the quicker the sun sets, the quicker my patio is more enjoyable.

suck when you’d get home from work and it would already be dark limiting your outdoor activity.
And if you kept DST all year it would be dark at 8:30 in the morning ! Most DST fanboys don't get that part of it. They just want to go out in the yard for 30 minutes in daylight in the dead of winter. And keep up their argument that it gets dark at 5:30 p.m. Well what about being dark at 8:30 a.m. ? Let the seasons go by as they have had forever and get rid of stupid DST.

Because I like to see the sun after work

This DST fanboy didn't even think of this advantage! Hell I hunt in my backyard, I would get an extra hour of sleep. Hell yes!

Here's the flawed logic for those saying they enjoy more time at the end of the day to do stuff (Pro DST). In the summer it's still hot as blue blazes in the evening. IF you want to really enjoy the extra day light, wake up earlier and use it when it's still cool outside.

yeah I mean recreate outside mostly, so it being dark when I get off of work absolutely fricking sucks.

Why is DST all of a sudden a controversy? We’ve done it our whole lives and now you pansies can’t handle it? Suck it up and deal with it.

2. Victim mentality has seeped into everything and people need a reason to bitch about inconsequential shite

This is a disingenuous counterpoint. There are way less activities available before the standard workday begins than there are after it ends.

The biggest thing against staying at perm DST is that kids at the bus stop, school crossings, etc, will basically be in pitch black until 8:30 am during the dead of winter. Getting dark at 5 pm suck, but not as bad as 6 yr olds standing on an urban street corner in the dark.
Kids still ride the bus?
