My best man was also my offshore fishing connection. I got him a Penn 50 wide reel. Seemed like a huge gift, but the reality is I just added to the reels I got to use

I actually would love the socks, but I also really like wacky socks. Right now I'm wearing sloth socks that I got for Christmas. Awesome gift imo.

Unless he wears these types of socks on a regular basis, do not get socks. The only time I have received/given socks was part of a full package of gifts and to ensure all the groomsmen had matching socks.
