Should = slight probability of failure.
Will = confident of no failure.

This, plus the confusion of what lengths you're actually typing as reflected in the other responses.

Conclusion...Good Luck my man, hoping for the best.

I see someone else is looking for a headache Dr in BR, might want to bookmark that thread.

So it's two walls that are 4'11" x 2'7" and two walls that are 2'11" x 2'7". Then the ceiling which is 4'11" x 2'11".

Boo's math is right. It's just under 55 sqft with no waste so you'll prob need a little extra for cuts and shite.

I hope you tile better than you math.

STFU bitch. I math like a mfer.

Besides I wasn't questioning Boo's math. I was questioning Broke's fricked up way of writing measurements.

Change your measurements to inches. Multiply length x width. Divide by 144. Then add about 10%

Assume 8' ceilings:

Wall sf:

2(4.92'(8'-2.58')) = 53.333 sf
+
2(2.92'(8-2.58')) = 31.653 sf

Total Wall sf = 84.9856 sf or 85 sf.

Ceiling sf = 4.92' X 2.92' = 14.3664' or 14.4 sf.

Grand total sf = 99.35 sf or 100 sf.

Just plan for 110-120 sf to account for waste.

Buy sq 45 feet

Forget the "inches"...round up as they dont sell tile by the "inch".

(5 x 3) + (3 x 3) + (5 x 3) = 39 square feet...but buy more for waste and future repairs.

Yeah, had to assume he meant 4'-11" and 2'-11" instead of 4'x11" and 2'x11"... which wouldn't have really made much sense given the context.

And since this isn't some full retard order of operations problem, I felt safe in making the assumptions.

jesus christ.

It should be easy for any simpleton to do, but if you can't do the easy math, here's a pretty good site that I've used in the past. We successfully used it during our recent home renovation and definitely made things easier.

If my mechanical engineering degree taught me anything, it's that there are some questions we just weren't meant to know the answer to.
