At 17 I was smoking pot. I turned out perfectly fine. Your son is about to go to college. You just tell him to be responsible

Weed/flower/a joint is just a misdemeanor or ticket. A legit thc vape in Georgia is a felony.

Screw that. I am not going to go in there and dig into his things with no reason or not a real good reason. But that just isnt true. He has a room and the responsibilities that come with it.

Why are you in your sons room?

He is on the property he owns or has purchased. His son doesn’t “own” his room. He has paid nothing.
I made this clear to my children early in life. I provided them with a place.

Did the son pay for the house? Is the son making the mortgage payments? If not, then it's NOT the sons room, it's his parents room.

His son is 17 and still living in his house. His father has every right to be in his room anytime he wants and I actually support him snooping since his suspicions were obviously spot on.

Time for a legit assehoopin for the son in my opinion. If he’s old enough to do drugs, he’s old enough to be a man and take some hits.

if you caught your 17 year old drinking would you beat the shite of of him too?

It’s not his son’s room bitch. It’s the father’s home, father’s room. Son is only getting to use it free of charge out of the kindness of dad. If son doesn’t like it, he’s free to leave any time.

Your son belongs to the streets now. You can never get them fully back once they start taking vape.

Personally, I’d rather it be weed than the cbd/delta8 bullshite.

The shite that’s sold in tobacco shops and head shops is horrible. It fricks me up way more than actual weed. I won’t touch that shite.

Tell him, "I don't give a shite if you are smoking weed. Don't do it while driving or fricking. Keep your grades up. If you can't do those things, I'm cracking down."

I think there are better ways to handle this situation than physical punishment. When I was younger, my parents caught me with an electronic cigarette, and instead of a beating, they had a serious talk with me about the risks and consequences. That conversation had a lasting impact on me.

You’ll often see an unexplained cough pop up with vape use also. Terrible for the lungs.

Hate to say it but at that age there’s pretty much nothing you can do to prevent it. My son is at Dutchtown (he smokes marijuana and I’ve finally accepted it) and said these things are everywhere and pretty much everybody does it. He said a lot of kids pop pills to help them cope but he’d rather use marijuana. It’s an entirely different generation and this is the norm. With marijuana becoming legal it’s only going to become more widespread. In addition there are multiple vape shops near the school that sell to underage kids, my son being one.

For fricks sake, get your children off of social media and away from the news… I bet you’re the type of parent who lets their 13 year old have Snapchat huh?

You gonna be real mad cause I’m on top the target
