Wilma was just something else.. that eye is haunting

As for Helene, someone said that she has showed some other Pacific type characteristics.. I think they said the really cold cloud tops that fires the pink colors?

I honestly don’t follow the PAC storms as much.. I just know pinhole eyes are a really bad thing.. so hopefully those guys are wrong

What else is more common in PAC storms?

Yeah, three models are spitting out solutions that are WAY east. Would not relax my guard anywhere north of Tampa.

Thanks. It’s been a minute since I’ve been over that way. Why’d they paint over them?

What am I wrong about? They completely underestimated Katrinas surge and now they have over estimated (with the exception of Michael) the surge since.

Someone just posted the message from the NHC regarding Katrina’s storm surge prevention at 28ft which was the official recording for the highest storm surge in Waveland so yes, the NHC was correct in their projections for Katrina’s storm surge.

Wilma’s pressure dropped 97 MB in 24 hrs. I don’t think any Atlantic hurricane has come close to that in recent memory. The only storms that may come close would be 1900 Galveston or 1936 Labor Day….

In the linked story. City fathers thought the visible reminder was inhibiting economic development.

From the article, they painted over the high water mark because locals were tired of being constantly reminded of the disaster and it was seen as a deterrent to economic development.

Not hating, just wondering…

The last few frames on current the IR satilite pictures of Helene show extremely cold cloud tops starting to wrap around its eye. Not good
