Healthcare in this country is absolutely broken.
But how people can believe that government monopolization will improve the experience is beyond me.

The only thing that makes my health insurance worth it is being able to take my kid to a good pediatrician. I run a behavioral therapy company and spend alot of time visiting peds for marketing.... most of clients are medicaid so I see mainly peds who accept it......lord they are horrible filty places... understaffed to shite..most time Dr. isn't even in.
The only thing I think of as I'm paying that bill...other than that I think frick this worthless racket

A taste of what socialized medicine would be like in America.

Si se Puede.
Medical care and billing is total dogshit.
Imagine ANY other business where no one can tell you the cost of something, you leave and get bills for months that make no sense, and when you do try to contact someone you get a bunch of lip. That business fails all day every day, but not medicine. Nope, just par for the course.
Those fricks at US Anesthesia partners were trying to send us bills 2 years after our daughter was born. They had been paid by our insurance but still tried to collect from us. We caught them in the act and they disappeared. Glad they are being sued.

Hell, worked in the restaurant industry part time when we were saving for a house.
The illegals that worked in the kitchen would always take their child to the ER. ALWAYS.
I asked the girl why are you taking your children to the ER just because they have a cold or a fever?
Her response, “Because we no pay. ER ask us and we say we have no money.”
Top that off with the fact they were illegals, using fake SSNs and getting taxes back on their children.
That is what this country rewards and we pay for it.

Health care in the USA is the best in the world. This socialist govt is trying to screw it up. Obamacare is communistic. Screw Obama!

ive been hand writing 25 dollar checks every month since I had an emergency appendectomy over 3 years ago
They maxed out my out of pocket to the tune of 3,500.
They've never sent a threatening letter or anything. I just keep sending 25 dollar checks
This does work. Got a bill for $300k? Send $10 a month until you die.

Medicaid is a downfall in medical. My daughters are in healthcare. One is a therapist in a behavioral therapy for special needs kids. In Louisiana, if a child is diagnosed with an issue, they are automatically given Medicaid, regardless whether parents have insurance, and must use it. So I’ve been told. So if a kid is diagnosed with autism, ADHD, etc., boom. Medicaid is a scam that we pay for. And they pay providers very little and have them by the balls. And we get to pay for this with our tax dollars. I see no reason why Medicaid should override insurance if already available.

I was bitten by a bat a month back. Four rounds of rabies shots and one round of immune globulin totaled $40,000. I had to pay almost $2000 out of pocket.
The system is broke as frick, and the middle class are carrying the burden.
This is from the initial visit. I had to go to the ER three more times for followup shots because it's the only place that has them.

Imagine being sick and the doctors just give up.

Welcome to the Middle Class, no one gives a frick about you.
When I accepted this cold, hard fact and began planning my family’s and my lives around it, it became a little easier to manage. We pay close to $2,500 a month for “health insurance,” but nothing is ever covered and we always make crazy copays. We are subsidizing not only the risk pool we agreed to be in, but also the cesspool into which we were born involuntarily.

Been in the hospital business for years. Pay what you can now. Pay the rest each month as they bill you. They will be happy to get payments .

BCBS family of four. Healthy. I think it’s $2300. I am “on retainer” as an employee for a client so that’s the group rate. I work it off fairly easily. But when I was looking into the exchange after my wife “retired” (she was a porn star so pics are online) it wasn’t much cheaper. If any. In fact more for similar coverage.
