This is what happens when you let insurance companies write the law. The whole lot should be executed and start over.

He enabled a race war as well, but that's for another thread.

Being forced to pay an inflated premium for the services that you are required to have, and then when push comes to shove and you actually need it, good luck getting a just claim that doesn't have an extremely outrageous deductible to get you there in the first place.

Don't worry, if the Dems have their was it'll all be FREE. Unavailable or scarce or terrible BUT FREE. They'll force medical people to treat you at horrible wages. it'll be grand.

...which also probably wont really cover 100% of the actual cost.

Car insurance is REALLY a scam. It's totally unnecessary for our premiums to be 4 times that of Nevada, but we have CORRUPT politicians. Can you believe ours are so corrupt they're 4 times worse than Nevada's policians ???????

Group policies. Guessing your employer is heavily subsidizing this for you and other employees (huge benefit for employees), so you should be happy. If you were a small business owner you would be complaining a lot more.

I haven't had that experience, but to each his own.

I had over $500k in PAID medical bills one year. No issues with any of the claims. It's hard for me to really complain about health insurance.

No Joke... in Mississippi we had 2 choices - BCBS or Ambetter (which each offered a few plans).

1) Each kid did add to the cost
2) 1750 with crappy coverage.
By far our biggest household expense.

I have been the most anti Obamacare guy you can find (I still am), but I am also pissed at the Republicans who campaigned for years on improving it and did jack shite when they had all three levers.. nothing close to a solidified plan.

It is all an embarrassment.

Two things about dental insurance:
1- the 1000-1500 cap was established back in the 70's and hasnt increased at all since, even though the cost of dental care has gone up with inflation.
2- dental "insurance" is not insurance at all. Its nothing more than a savings and discount plan that covers the cost of your cleanings and gets you a discounted rate on treatments.

McCain was the deciding vote to NOT repeal Obamacare.

Mother Earth struck him down with glioblastoma for being such a piece of shite.

If it were up to the Dems we'd have universal healthcare. Blame the GOP.

I hated this but I do have a post history about health.

I facilitate 31 Texas ISD supplemental insurance offerings but also broker.

If anyone has a question just post it.

If it wasn't him it would have been someone else to cast the vote. McCain fell on the sword because he knew his time was limited anyway.

News flash: neither party wants to end Obamacare. Our representatives sell bills to the highest bidder. The health care industry and the pharmaceutical companies do not want Obamacare to go away because that would wipe out a huge chunk of their customers.

The GOP needed to make it look like they wanted to repeal and replace. That's why the votes were always close. Do you think it was coincidence one or two GOP always cast the deciding vote against repeal/replace?

In it's purest form insurance is very helpful. Would you rather have no option to protect yourself against catastrophic life events?

It's when the government begins regulating insurance that things go awry.
