Imagine getting upset about having to keep a bag in your car
When we go to the grocery store we usually have like 20-30 bags worth of stuff

Never been to Aldi's, huh?
Never been, but aren't they supposed to be cheaper? If part of that is due to not just giving away bags, I am okay with that. Even if it's just a business move, but they make that clear, cool. If a store is charging for plastic bags under the guise of being environmentally friendly, they can frick off. It might discourage people from using plastic bags, or using so many, but charging for them doesn't actually do anything for the environment. Are they donating that money to environmentally positive causes?

Maybe choose venues you can afford to shop at to avoid these types of issues.

Denver charged 10 cents a bag for taxes. Robot cashiers for the win.

Walmart is going to start charging for bags next year.

This really is not uncommon, what are we missing here?

I Hawaii you have to bring your own bags everywhere, even walmart

Cashier can't place items in a bag unless I pay for the environmentally friendly re-useable bag.
Are you going to make a stand everywhere you shop?

Just bring in a backpack. Save lots of money with the "discount."

Why the frick is anyone against it? No matter what your feelings on anything, you can admit that people will litter the shite out of plastic bags and that’s no good for everyone.
I’m convinced the people against this are trolls

I shop with a couple of suitcases. I have my redcap servant carry the bags.

Not necessarily for the 2 items from the vitamin shop but I don't want to carry a backpack full of bags with me every time we go to the grocery store

I’ve never seen anyone bring in a backpack of grocery bags. People usually keep 3 or 4 in their car and put them in a shopping cart

Nothing worse than when some old wench in front of you at the grocery pulls out her knitted bags and bags with damn cats on them and starts trying to bag her crap up and takes forever.
