Get younger friends.

Sorry you rushed into marriage and now are miserable, the rest of us that partied our asses off in our 20s then got married don't want to go troll the bars with you anymore, its not because our wives wont let us.

I don't mind going to a brewery or a good beer bar to have a beer or two while I fill a growler. I typically only do this during the day as well.

But, to actually bop around town to just your run-of-the-mill bars...yeah, that doesn't sound too appealing at all to me. People like what they like though. I just happen to be extremely selective and picky in what kind of bars I frequent.

i'm 24 and am nearly at that point. paying for shitty overpriced drinks and talking over loud as shite music sounds miserable as a 35-40+ year old.

What I'm saying is that Mrs. Hangover has never said 'I don't want you hanging out with so and so'... that's just stupid Priorities change, just enjoy the time that you do get to spend with your friends

Of course she never specifically has to say it. She obviously runs the show and merely has to hint at the desired outcome.

Same. I went way too hard in college and especially after for a couple years.

If all goes well, I'll be settling down into old person life here in the next year or so

So your wife runs the show and you are the overly dramatic one? Sucks for her. I never said all women were like that but a very large portion are definitely that way.

Usually a suburb that only has residential and small-scale commercial (strip-malls).

Yes hoops, my wife runs the show and I am the overdramatic one.

I think you are the one being overdramatic since you think you know so much about my life through two posts

What I find funny is that the majority of people I know that are married are crazy miserable. They don't have sex anymore, their wives keep restricting what they buy unless its for their kids or them to use in some way, it's really kind of sad.

Most of my friends got married 35+. The ones that got married earlier are mostly single now.

I've got quite a few friends who are in that boat. Nobody really says it but its noticeable.

My parents got divorced when I was a teenager. It seemed like back then and up into mid 20's I was all about the dating scene.

but now in my 30's, I'm single. I guess part of it is I start thinking too much when I had dated someone for over a year. Like that old insecurity I felt when my parents split up. I don't know.

I'll go to a bar a few nights out of the week but never with the intention of hooking up anymore. If it happens.. alright then.. but I see people my age still acting like their 21. Its cool, they can do whatever but I'm just worn down more now I guess.

other nights I'll go to a gym or just chill at home. Still go fishing a lot on the weekends, the buddies I have who are married don't really get to do that anymore. Ans some them don't even have kids.

I hope to be single when I'm 30. To hell with your pussy whipped friends. You're at the perfect MILF slayer age. Plenty of women looking to feel young again... or window shopping for their kids new stepdad

Mid 30's and single here. This is pretty accurate. A lot of women do not look at funds as "our" funds but "her" funds. Whatever she earns is hers and whatever he earns is hers. I've maintained a few LTR's over the years and I am pretty happy with it. I also look for women who do not need a man but want a man.

40s, yeah. 30s, it's not too bad. Or maybe it's because I have kept myself in great shape and have a baby face, but I have no problem catching the eye of females in their early 20s. But I'm not big into bar hopping anyway. It's more just wanting to hang out and do guy things.

bar hopping in your 30s may not seem bad bc I guess you never did it in your 20s. I would never intentionally subject myself to that shite any more.

this is something I've noticed on TD for a few years now. it must be the south Louisiana bias, but every time this topic comes up it seems like going to bars is discussed way too much. it is as if married people think it's the only thing single people want to do, or it is why they don't want to get married .

I don't get it.

Yep. I went out to the bars at the beach on New Years night. That was the last time I've been to a bar, and I usually only go to a bar about a few times in a month or less.
