I enjoy being in my 30's and being single.

What I don't understand is people who have a kid, but somehow neither parent can ever go anywhere because "We have to stay at home with the baby".

Can one parent not watch the child while the other one spends a few hours with their friend(s)?

The key is finding friends with actual backbones that have the ability to tell their wife 'hey I'm gonna grab dinner and beers with my friends' from time to time. Often times, guys seem to marry and you'll never see them again. Sad.

It's not that their 'old ladies' don't want them hanging out with you, it's that they, as family men, have other priorities than hanging out with the bros

You can still be a good "family man" and find time to maintain friendships though.

I'm sure the OP understands family obligations and isn't expecting those guys to hang out every week with him.

The wife and I have 3 kids under the age of 4 and it has never slowed us down. It's not easy, but it's doable and we enjoy the hell out of the time with them.

I understand that completely, but I'm sure we all have that one friend who gets all pissy and emotional when I can't go to a bar Friday night because I'm going to do something with my family

What I'm saying is that Mrs. Hangover has never said 'I don't want you hanging out with so and so'... that's just stupid

Priorities change, just enjoy the time that you do get to spend with your friends

YUGE mistake.

And why the divorce rates were so high for so long.

People need to co-habitate as working adults for a while before even thinking about marriage.

Yea, I'll never understand why people think it's a good idea to get married at such a young age

I'd never try to talk anyone out of it, but it's just foolish IMO

People get married too quickly. I think if more people would date 2-3 years more marriages would last. I married at 28, had a blast in college before that, married my wife after 6 years of dating and never looked back. I miss those days sometimes, but I have a job and a family I love. Life is pretty good. Sorry not sorry that some married bitches

Exactly. I have 2 little boys. When they are with me, I'm spending time doing things with them. The times that they are not with me, I like to unwind. I think I earned it. I raised them alone for about 3 years, so I never did anything.

Newly single here and I don't know what you're talking about.

Between friends, family, Tinder and Bumble you really never have to be alone, although I like to be alone alot.

Most of my friends are single as are now the majority of people in their 30s. I only have a couple friends that are married.

Sounds interesting at face value. Not sure if I'd want my wife to go out drinking with people she's never met in person, but to each their own I guess.

By the way, I would suggest taking a solo trip to somewhere you've always wanted to visit. I did it last year and it was cool. Hit up bars alone and meet strangers, etc.

Well I'm in my 30's, never married, no kids, and no debt.

I hang around married and single folks. Most of the girls I hang around are between 26-30.

Having a great time for sure, but I know soon I don't want to be the old creepy dude still going to bars, so I am ready to settle down.
