Have you ever used the drain stopper in your bathroom sink?

I don't think I ever have and I don't see why I ever would. Are people using them to shave? What good could a bathroom sink full of water possibly be?

To shave.

Back when I shaved I would get about 2-3 inches of hot water in the bottom of it. They really don't serve a purpose other than that.

To shave.
You don't use as much water.

How do you rinse your balls?

I use mine to soak my socks, especially when I'm on the road selling shower curtain rings

When I use my Neti-pot so I can inspect all the slugs & what-not that come out of my nose.

Every day when I rinse my contacts before I put them in, just to make sure I don't accidentally wash one down.

Great christmas movie. Thanks for reminding me.
Only reason I'm seeing is shaving. I shave every other day but never use the stopper.

Well that is a pretty good reason.

I really hope this is sarcasm . . . otherwise enjoy your eyesight while it lasts.

When I used to use a cartridge razor, I filled the sink. I couldn't get the hair out with just water pressure from the faucet. With a safety razor it comes out easily and is cleaner in the sink , so I don't do it anymore.
I also tend to soak my heart rate monitor strap and running hat in the bathroom sink while I'm in the shower. They don't go through the washing machine like my other workout clothes does (they do, but less frequently). If I don't soak them in a bit of soapy water and hang dry them, they get funky fast.

No sarcasm at all.
That's not the whole process either, just the part that pertains to the drain stopper.

Now I'm going to have to try that tonight. Maybe call the wife and kids in afterwards and just ask them if that looks okay, and then laugh when they run out of the room gagging.

My wife has used the stopper when she is cleaning jewelry. She has one of those little tubs of cleaner with a basket in it, but the last step is rinsing it off, and she almost dropped an earring in the sink one time. So she uses the stopper in case one falls out.

quote:Funny you mention that, my stopper broke a couple of weeks ago. I haven't fixed it yet mainly because I just don't ever use it so it's not exactly a priority, even though it would take 5 minutes.
Have you ever used the drain stopper in your bathroom sink?
