I witnessed a cold-blooded murder when I was 8 years old. Before yall ask, yes, it was them.

I was in the gym in a Friday night along with 3 other people: an older black guy, a guy who turned out to be a firefighter, and another guy. The older black guy was on the treadmill and collapsed while on it. The firefighter started CPR while I got an ambulance and called the gym owner. Before the ambulance arrived, he expired. They said he had a massive heart attack and basically there was nothing else we could have done. It was the first time I saw someone die in front of me and it was the first time I heard the crack of ribs happen during CPR. Sad situation
Other than that, I watched my grandmother get a dose of morphine and pass away at the end of her life. She was ready

I will never understand people's attraction to violence and therefore death.
It's repugnant and against the norm.
Apparently, while you may find it repugnant... it ain't against any norms.
It is perfectly normal for mortal beings to have an interest in something that eventually happens to us all- death.

Yeah.
Car wreck
Watched my grandma die, whole family was with her.
Didn't see somebody die but this one fricked me up bad.
I was heading to hunt at about 5am and a vehicle in front of me got tboned by a guy running a stop sign. I got to the guy in the car that was hit and he was hollering that his son was in the back. I looked at the vehicle and just knew I was about to see a dead kid. Got the opposite door open and the kids carseat had been pushed over and he was fine, just too confused to cry. Driver of the other vehicle stumbled up and was drunk as frick. I lost my shite and roughed him up pretty good. Cops hauled him off.

Was hugging my father's neck when he passed away; was able to tell him how much I loved him just before his last breath. Hard to let go of the hug.

When I got out of the Navy I was supervisor of security at a hospital and saw several die in ER. Strangest one was a car load of people pulled up at the ambulance bay and said there grandfather was sick. We took a wheelchair out to the car to get grandpa out and he was DRT, probably had been for a few hours. I don’t think any family member knew how to check for a pulse. When Doc told the family he was dead, they lost it.

I've seen two people die
One was on a construction site and was extremely brutal
The second I witnessed someone trip and fall underneath the float I was riding on

Lots. 30 years in law enforcement; you see things.

When I was 20 or so, I saw someone killed from a single gun shot as they slept (shooter was drunk and thought the gun was unloaded). It's nothing like the movies with jerking, blood-spatter and such.

Several. Too many to count. Not bragging either.

Didn't see it happen, but back in 2012, I had gone to Chick-fil-A to get some dinner and saw a guy walking across the street. On the way back I see the same guy laying on his back dead as a doornail w/a gun laying beside him. He offed himself.

Yes, my father in law. My wife and MIL made the difficult decision to end life support and were already very sad and could not stay in the room. I think it helped everyone that they did not have to witness and FIL had someone there he knew.

Yes. At home for some or in a hospital holding my dad's hand as he passed.

I saw a guy get run over on his bike on Galveston island near Jamaica Beach.
Sticks with me.
Sticks with me.

I was 17 saw a guy driving a ford ranger roll over by taking a turn on a hill way too fast. Driver got half flung outside of the driver side window and the vehicle stopped rolling on top of him.

Yup - father in law died in in bed right in front of me and my wife. We all knew the end was coming but we did not necessarily expect to literally be beside him when he took his last breath.
