Have you ever identified, intentionally or not, a Tigerdroppings poster?

There is a poster over on the SEC Rant whose identity I've had a suspicion for a couple of years just based on his postings. Browsing today and I came across a post from him that was the last piece I needed to confirm 100%. Now it just feels weird reading his posts, knowing him personally, and him having no clue I know.

Anyone experienced this? I'm sure it's a pretty common thing with the Louisiana crowd here.

You should tell him of your fascination with him. He’ll like it.

A friend of mine posted here years ago about his truck being stolen. I didn’t know it was him until he posted on Facebook the exact same story an hour later. I didn’t tell him I know it’s him, been waiting for him to frick up and say something embarrassing on here first

shite, go shake his hand, call him by his screen name and buy him a beer.

You figured out an internet handle, Matlock.

I knew I met Chicken because he made a thread about my car being the only other one in a parking lot.

I'm pretty sure he would be pretty damn embarrassed to be called your friend after seeing your post on here.

No. I live in San Antonio. I’m sure there are posters that live here but I’m just blown away when I see an lsu sticker or t shirt

Identified a coworker years ago when he started a snake Id thread after he had sent me the same pic and question in email.

Stop wanting to find out identities. I'm always amazed at how much information posters are willing to give out about themselves. There is a *single* person ETA (IRL) that knows I'm here, and I haven't told him my user name. I've known this dude for almost 30 years.

Yep. Though usually it's because someone calls me out first. My username is not very anonymous. Especially anytime there's a thread about Catholic High (context usually immediately narrows down the year) or LSU/BR Rugby.

Probably around 3 dozen people. If I know the person well enough to have their cell phone I save their username in notes in my contacts. I also let them know I identified them in a roundabout way so they know its possible.

Some of us are in fantasy leagues or have been on this site long enough to know each other's identities. I'm not counting those persons.

Yep. I was able to identify like 3 people by reading their post. One of them is not a well-liked poster by the TD community…and don’t ask

However, a good friend of my wife was able to identify me by coming across some my posts
