Have we discussed the new economy class seats?

In Hamburg, Germany the annual Passenger Experience Expo is an opportunity to see all kinds of new ideas for the “inside” of air travel. One of the prototype economy class seats, supposedly designed for “short flights,” looks particularly interesting-
It even has a tray for your drink, which I’m sure won’t be free-

I believe those are illegal by current airline rules.
Have to plan for how to get more people off in an emergency and such.

Air travel has to be one of the only industries that has been able to charge higher and higher prices for worse service. I had to take a shite on the plane yesterday and have no idea how fat people fit in those bathrooms

I refuse to fly economy. It's gotten unbearable on the "major" carriers. Southwest is the only airline I fly if I can help it. It's why they're gobbling up market share.

If it was for a 3o minute flight I don't think it would honestly be a big deal. I've been on plenty of trains in worse situations than that. But why would you need a 30 minute flight?

He believes because everyone is in it together that everyone is first class.
I'll fly a major economy any day over the cattle call Southwest shitshow. Southwest usually isn't even the cheapest any longer.

This is why you pay more to fly first.
You can get booze during boarding, throughout the flight, and if you had an awesome flight attendant, a shooter before you land.

Of course they get a small Asian man to model in the seat to make it seem big enough for a normal size person.
