Have other customers/shoppers asked you for help while you were shopping yourself?

Do you find it rude?
You're out shopping and someone may approach you and ask: "Do you work here?" or they'll just assume you work there and will ask for assistance.
I've experienced it a couple times (once while wearing shirt and tie after a fight broke out between two servers at a pizza restaurant) and witnessed an occurrence just yesterday. Some middle-aged lady asked a guy "Where is your key machine?" He just shrugged and kept shopping. He shook his head in a bit of disgust too.

When you're all grown up they'll stop asking you.

Had people ask me if I worked at LL bean twice within 10 minutes once. I had just got off work too (wearing all brooks brothers, for the OT people with jokes), so I thought it was weird.
I thought they wear uniforms there anyway??

I have been asked where to find certain items by other shoppers. Have always helped if I could and see no problem with a fellow human asking another for assistance. I don't go to Walmart wearing blue and khaki though so I never have been confused as an employee.

I get asked occasionally. Even if I'm not wearing anything remotely resembling a uniform.

I always get asked if I work at Hollister when I'm smelling and folding clothes while shirtless and standing outside the changing rooms, but I'm really just a pervert.

I never wear Blue at Best Buy or Walmart or Lowe's for this reason.

One time I was asked by a lady. Didn't bother me. But I wondered why she would ask a guy in a t-shirt and gym shorts if he was employed at a dept store.

Don't ever make the mistake of wearing a red polo and khakis when you go shopping at Target

Little old ladies ask me to grab stuff off of the top shelf. I oblige, of course.
Sometimes they will ask me to help them put a case of water in their basket, which I do with one hand.

Yes, but only in head shops and record stores

I always get asked to snag things off the top or high shelves.
Sometimes if I'm in HD or Lowes I end up helping people that look completely lost.

I was chasing my two year old around Barnes and noble last week when some lady asked me if I worked there. I looked at here like she was a fricking idiot.
