Have a laugh @ my expense.

So, a couple weeks ago I ordered new wipers because mine were falling apart. Amazon, obviously.
So they show up and I glance over the instructions on how to mount them because they're all different.
Get them on, and it rains / sprinkles the next day and they suck. Like really suck. Weird, they had pretty good reviews. Odd that the blade is yellow too. But its rain-x so whatever
So I go ahead and get a return Authorization and order a different kind. Today, as I'm driving I make the realzation that the yellow blades is actually a protective cover for the wipers. And it literally says "Protective cover remove before use"
Ugh.
Anyways, they work great now.

Next time have your husband install them for you.

I do stuff like this all the time, just laugh it off and go about your day.

I didn't laugh but I did shake my head.

So you are the reason that Nissan approached me during an oil change to replace my wipers for $60.

But its rain-x so whatever
most sets are around $16
Have these on both of my vehicles. Used to buy the high end Bosch Icons and Rainex. See no difference in these.

Glad I'm not the only one who does stuff like that.

You should have let your husband install them

Are they the new silicone Rain-X wipers? I love mine, they're still relatively new so not sure how long they'll last, but so far, best wipers I've owned.
And I am a man, so I knew to take the yellow cover off of them after installing.

I have cracked my windshield in both places where the wipers rest because of the spring loaded arm while changing my blades.
Got super pissed both times.

You should check your starter fluid level as well

I bet you’re the kind of guy that will drive without refilling your blinker fluid too
