Sure there is. There is either an afterlife, or there isn’t. Something can’t both exist and not exist simultaneously.
Not necessarily the case

Especially looking at it from a scientific standpoint and consciousness perspective. There may be a reason one particular person's consciousness is on or off for whatever period of time after the death of the body..or why consciousness heads to a different vessel or why consciousness heads to a different area or why consciousness cant be accessed...really an endless number of possibilities that take you away from the idea that it is either or. Therefore, It is possible the afterlife may exist for one but not the other

Or maybe we’re just a simulation. Data. 1s and 0s. I like this theory far more than an afterlife.
very possible, there are scientists that believe that we will eventually be able to download our consciousness and memories and then upload them into AI

quote:

The living will never know the secrets of the dead.
Never know what we will learn. I am sure we know things now that we could have never anticipated or imagined just 100 years ago

This is correct. In my personal experience, there's a strict policy on not taking your phone into the afterlife to prevent video from the other side emerging.

There are other people though who have died and had very different experiences than I did. How do you account for their experiences?

same way i account for people that claim they talked to Mary in Fatima.

Kind of strange that people think we are any different than any other living organism in the world.

Some people got smart and came up with religion to control the dumb ones and get them to obey their rules, fairly obvious imo.

Did we recently discover evidence of what happens to dogs and pine trees in their afterlife or something?

Death is a doorway. Planes of existence, thin spots, conduits to the Aether.

For some the journey ends. For others it begins anew, shifts and twists and changes as we are poured into new vessels

There is so much more than we can comprehend

Excellent use of scintilla by the way

Somebody always gives this answer like it's a drop the mic response. It's not.

#1. You say this with so much confidence. How do you know? You don't.

#2. Before we were born, we didn't exist and certainly didn't have a consciousness. So how can it be "like before we were born." Doesn't make any sense.

Well yeah, the Bible.

every 2,000 years a significant occurrence has happened in the bible.

the last significant occurrence was Jesus ascending into heaven in 30 AD.

if Jesus doesn't come back before the end of 30 A.D., the bible is just a great guide on how to have a life well lived, it will be proven to not be supernatural.

If the ruling Romans and Jews could have produced the body of Jesus, they would have. What happened?

Of course no one knows, except what God tells us in the Bible. That's a pretty big cornerstone of faith.
