Wasn’t he also the bad guy in a Star Trek movie? A team of white guys in the future - with that one half white black girl - defeat a black guy whose physical appearance was so ugly he was unrecognizable.

I was naive enough to think that this Hollywood propaganda started recently, but watching older shows now with a more awareness, it is clear that even older shows were pushing boundaries and political correctness.
I was watching and episode of Bonanza the other day and the entire program was about racism and how when the town found out their invited singer was black, that didn't want him to perform.
Mash, it was all about questioning American motives for the war and pro North Korean digs.
