More than likely, you just got a faulty valve. I've used those same type valves with detergent and fabric softener for years, no problems.
Yea OP is a frickin tard. These designs are far superior than pouring the liquid and the cheapest per load for liquid detergents.

I hate those designs personally. Eventually detergent gets all over the bottle and then in turn all over your cabinet.

I use sand
It’s all natural and works just as good

There is a reason it’s $6 less than Tide

Costco Kirkland pods FTW

I used Tide in that type of plastic bottle with that dispenser. It always leaked just a tad.

I'm about that pod life so I can't help you.

Reminds me of my ex wife so I immediately hate it.

We use this design and never had trouble. Like it a lot.

Keep it stored on its side with the nozzle facing down

You complain more than my “wife”

r. This POS design leaks all over the place out of the valve.
Maybe you’re doing it wrong?

Liquid detergent is very caustic and rusts machines that it gets on.

I use that detergent per my pediatrician’s recommendation, but I don’t use that bottle because of poor design like you mentioned.

That bottle is used by almost every detergent brand.
