Has anyone ever met or known someone that works for big tobacco or the IRS?

I do not.

I feel like both employ a massive amount of people and so I think it’s very strange, but maybe I’m wrong.

I remember towards the end of college telling my dad I talked to a recruiter about a job working with the IRS and he said "don't do that son. Everyone will hate you"

Im sure if you move closer to the areas where these places are located you would meet a few. You because you don't know any doesn't mean they don't exit.

I don't know any porn stars, lumber jacks, coal miners, and flight attendants (actually I know someone who used to be a flight attendant) that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Yeah, it’s strange how you’ll never meet an IRS agent at a bar. If one introduced themselves as such it would be a near immediate “frick you” after asking if he was serious

Tobacco is regional, I grew up in SC/NC/VA and knew plenty of people in tobacco at all levels, I didn't know a single person in O&G.

The only person I can think of I knew was an IRS agent was a officer I went through EOAC with in the Army. Nice guy, competent officer, and the only story I remember him telling is he had learned not to confiscate horses because of the care and upkeep while waiting for auction.

Never understood why anyone who pays their taxes would hate an IRS agent. It’s like hating police officers if you don’t break the law. Don’t steal from them or try to grab their gun and you’re good

My dad worked for Brown and Williamson tobacco when I was a kid. We had a great living until they got sued to oblivion.

Is little tobacco the weed industry or is there some craft-tobacco movement i'm not aware of?

I know a few in tobacco because I work in agriculture. Not nearly as evil as they lead you to believe

I have met plenty of big tobacco sales reps.

Never an IRS agent, I have met FORMER IRS agents and they are just a bad, they use their former time at the IRS to fleece people out of money by negotiating with their old friends at the IRS for a deal. The current agents cut a deal because they know when they leave the IRS they will create the same gig and get the same free money fleecing more Americans.

My aunt was high up with the IRS. She retired at 50 so evidently she did well in the audit department.

I worked with tobacco. Was the deputy director of the tobacco division of the agricultural marketing service at USDA. We were responsible for grading all the tobacco offered at auction in the United States. I loved working with tobacco men but hated working for the government so I quit.

Which taxes?
Income tax?
Sales tax?
Property tax?
Gas tax?
Death tax?

We get taxed when we go to work to make the money,
Taxed when we spend our time and energy to make the money,
Taxes when we spend the money,
Taxed when we save the money,

Taxes taxes taxes taxes TAXES!!!!

And for what? Gender bender classes in Pakistan?

60$ billion dollar boondoggles in Ukraine?

Spending lives and treasure in Afghanistan to remove the taliban from power in order to *flips pages* give the taliban power back?

What exactly does the government do with any efficiency? What have they done to deserve ever more of our money (while they make it worth less and less)?

And why would I have any respect for a jackbooted little goon that wants to be the enforcer to fund such a system?

You really think these 87000 and 8 billion bucks is going to go to anything worthwhile for the American people?

No. The political elite and Uber-powerful will get richer and the common man will continue to get fricked.

Because I don't get jealous of rich people like the left does. I'm all for any person business paying as little taxes as possible. If they happen to do it illegally more power to them

The less money our pos government takes in the better imo

If you think the IRS has the actual honest taxpayer in mind then I think you may be very misled
