Has Amazon regressed with their customer service?

I’ve used Amazon for everything in the last 5-6 years, literally everything. Probably 2-3 orders a week. They’ve always been great, no worries about late deliveries and if ever there was an issue they went above and beyond to fix it.
Maybe it’s just recent bad luck on my behalf but the last few months, I’ve had multiple orders being delayed and not getting sent out in the first two days. I’ve had a birthday gift for my niece get “lost” at the shipping facility and not make it in time for her party. The only options they offered me to remedy that issue was to cancel the order or just wait the extra 5 days. Just very strange and unlike my previous experiences which have all been excellent.
Anyone else noticing any differences? Maybe it’s just a string of personal bad luck with them

Ive switched to walmart on a lot of stuff. Same free 2 day shipping. Often cheaper.

Half their employees are on govt assistance. Its basically a large Baton Rouge Popeyes pool of employees

New distibution center in BR is having huge issues. WBRZ had an article on it and there was a thread here last week. All of my packages the last couple of weeks have been late. I called and bitched about one and got $25 off my next order. Didn't have time to call about the others but I'm gonna next time.

I'm starting to despise Amazon exactly because of this.
I expected they were/are playing nice and taking a loss many years to build up a customer base before slowly transferring the pressure back on consumers.
But it still pisses me off, and I hope some decent competition arises.

Could always try Google Express. I use it a bunch. No membership fee and free delivery over a certain amount from a bunch of stores.

Yeah, that 2 day delivery shite is a thing of the past. Sure you can still get a few things in 2 days, but often times, no where close. I could order something right now, on a Monday night, and I used to get it Wednesday, no later than Thursday. Now, I wouldn't expect it by Friday, with some slim hopes to get it Thursday.
