Models aside, give us a guess Do you think this thing intensifies like some are saying?
I'm not an operational met and stuff like that is beyond my skill level. All I can say, the models show the potential for rapid intensification before landfall but it is almost impossible to forecast RI. It happens sometimes, but more often than not. setups that look favorable for RI in the models don't produce in real life.

First I appreciate your post in these threads every time there is a storm. When do you think the forecast will be solid as far a land fall area ?

Anybody who went to bed thinking Louisiana is out ofthe woods had better take a shot of bourbon in their coffee. This shite aint over

Who thinks this is over? It hasn't even gotten started yet. Just have to be prepared and wait it out. No way of knowing impact on Louisiana at this point.

Moving north at 10
I like when the direction a storm is heading doesn't even match the predicted path

From that GOES Floater image on page one it is starting to look more symmetric. Has shear decreased overnight?

Harvey starting to get that buzz saw look.

I would not be surprised if this thing is over 100 miles an hour at landfall

I said the same thing.
If he was able to do that in the past 3-4 hours. Today should be interesting once it heats up

Depending how much more Harvey develops today I would not rule out a Major at landfall especially if it continues the North movement longer than expected.

Euro has been relentless on that Northeast turn into Louisiana. Also Hurricane Hunters flying back to Harvey at the moment be interesting what they find.
