would not be surprised if this thing is over 100 miles an hour at landfall
The good folks at Storm 2K are saying higher.

The storm looks like it is going more west. Good news for southwest Louisiana.

Man, I really hope the Euro is wrong. Supposed to fly out of NOLA Thursday, and that seems to be when Harvey would be right over NOLA

The one on Westheimer and Shepherd is awful, but I stopped on my way home today and the shelves were full.
I think that store averages about 30 customers a week.
That's because randles prices their items like they are Whole Foods

Recon found pressure at 985MB
Posted on 8/24/17 at 6:31 am to jlc05
Recon finding much higher winds than previous mission. Maybe close to hurricane already. 45 knot winds out of the north on the normally weaker side of the circulation

Are you predicting the future? What do you know!?

Guess its about time to join in the thread... Where's my homey Rummy at? We need to go old school hurricane thread.
btw, anyone have updated tracking/models with the North at 10mph thrown in? Can't find anything showing how much that jog/shift impacted the projected landfall point.

Pressure of 985 mb is usually found in a 75 mph hurricane. Expect winds to ramp up before lunch to respond to the pressure.
