Anyone here have a source for A rescued person to be able to get insulin? Specifically humalog?
Surely the police can access an ambulance or there's got to be some that can be gotten?? That's sort of a staple.

This Joel Eisenbaum fellow on KPRC is a beast. Dude's reporting in the field has been A+, and he constantly keeps the hysteria down whenever they try to hype things too much. He also stays out of the way properly.

Probably just needs a snackbar. She turns into a diva when she doesn't have one.

Ted Oberg on ABC 13 has also been great. Props to both.

Phil Archer and Joel Eisenbaum are great Americans.

I thought the CN was a bunch of drunk rednecks that would never rescue a woman in a hijab.

Actually looks to be diving SE again. I think it is rotating around a very broad center.

Joel just said, "I know I've been a bad reporter just letting these people walk by without asking them about the evacuation, but sometimes I think these people need a break."

I just want to personally thank ALL of the volunteers who have assisted during Harvey. We had to be rescued by boat today and most of the boaters were volunteers in our neighborhood. I called and googled several sites for boat rescues for our area. One of the sites was houston Harvey rescue.com I gave them all of my information and location. I received a txt late this afternoon asking my situation. I informed the person that we were safe and thanked him/her for the effort the org was making. I also asked him how I could help them, help others. They said they are volunteers and that he was located in South Carolina but his sister lived in Kingwood. I was completely amazed by the organization of this volunteer group.
I just truly want to thank all of the volunteers helping to save lives And they are saving lives.
I think I found the initial link from a thread on the OT board. Thanks again.
FYI...I had a foot of water in my house when we left and I'm just hoping it stays under 4ft before this is over with.
I know 1 ft doesn't sound like much but our only exit out the neighborhood was impassable by car 24 hrs prior. We were on an island and boat was the only way out.

Glad you got out, what part of town/neighborhood?

So sorry about your house, but glad y'all are okay!!

I am so sorry you are going though this. Don't worry, you don't need to feel like you have to justify being rescued. There are many reading this that went through this same horrible thing last year or their loved ones did. Just take things day by day. It's gonna be a rough road ahead....but there are soo many people that are willing to help. May God be able to give you and your family comfort and strength during this very difficult time.

My dad's place is getting covered very quickly. He is near Pine Island Bayou. The house is raised a bit but he has about 4 inches in his shed. Roads are flooded and he cant get out. Has seen people leaving on boats. They want to stay since they are raised and have electricity. Can anyone give any info on Pine Island Bayou?'
