Only a rumor at this point with no official confirmation but social media is claiming the some of the pumps at the pump station on Lake Houston may have gone down.

Hmm well this could affect me. My apartment complex in kingwood just over the bridge is flooded. My mom in atascocita is dry along with most of this area. Any clue what the effect of this may be?

Are we about to get more rain? Hasn't rained much here in Lafayette since this morning. Why the sudden flash flood warning?

The eastern side of this storm looks to be breaking off due to the dry air.
Can we expect that pattern to hold until this thing is back on land by wednesday?

Not in Houston... the second-greatest OT city in the world (after Dallas of course). That crap only happens in NOLA.

We must be looking at 2 different radars, because everything I'm seeing is south of LC and at Morgan City.

I work on Ridge Road, between Lafayette and Duson. At noon today, the ditches and coulees were full, and some were already over the road in places. We got some sunshine after that, so hopefully it was able to drain some, but if we get hammered more today/tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if Ridge, West Broussard, Duhon, Lagneaux, and other surrounding roads (most of the same areas that flooded last year) will be at least covered wtih water.

I saw on the news that the dry air that was helping will be counteracted by quick building moisture and clouds as it moves into the gulf
