Still has 8 inches to go to break the state record from a tropical cyclone, which is equally unreal. Harvey is currently the 5th wettest tropical cyclone in US history.

have a hard time believing that some wouldn't be armed but being armed and using it are two very different things I guess.
Some of them baws will pepper your arse for getting too close to their duck blind. They're not afraid to shoot you. If they really are taking fire, it's only a matter of time before the POS shooting at them pick the wrong boat to frick with.

I had a meeting for one of our projects, and the design consultant was also doing work for the S&WB. He said what the public was being told was basically the tip of the iceberg.

I just heard on Cajun Navy dispatch that they are NOT turning away boats. They are turning away people coming to help who DO NOT HAVE BOATS. This is something I think was misunderstood at first and that spread. I'm glad they clarified with someone in the know.
they are turning away all people with boats at the border unless they are first responders are have medical credentials.

AMLI 2121 is a pretty big building (like 5 or 6 stories I think) with a ton of tenants. It's also very nice with young professionals renting. There's higher floors for her to go to in the worst case scenario and I'm sure there's a ton of others there riding it out who also have food and water.
Trying to get there from SA could leave you in a pretty bad situation right now I think. The amount of water in the rivers and creeks is changing road situations pretty rapidly it seems like
