Price gouging is bullshite. It's simple supply vs demand and free market economics at work.

Precisely. If millions are spent to preserve life and those that have been saved can't afford what you want to charge, frick em. Let em die. Because everyone knows when your demand dies, that's when you make the most money.

And I followed him to a point. It seems like a very fine line, legally, as to what constitutes gouging and what doesn't. Charging someone $99 for a case of water should be worthy of catching an arse-whipping, at the very least.

According to Google maps, I-10 west is closed but east is open. Getting to east may be hard though.

Go to Google maps and there is a drop down menu in their search bar. Hit traffic and it should be helpful to you.

Good God, that is just criminal. If you want to jump from $2.10 to $2.50 a gallon, then OK, maybe I can accept that. But a 750% increase? That's bullshite. I hope they are prosecuted

LOL there's a small difference between raising the price .30-.40 to offset the loss of a week or more of income and charging $15/gallon or $99/case of water. There is nothing anyone can do about me raising prices .30 at any time, there are no laws at all in place for anything like that. They can go after those charging $15/gallon but even then, they wont win anything, there's various prices all over houston, go look at the mobil station on the corner of san felipe and 610 its almost 70-80 cents higher than any other store in houston at all times and people still voluntarily go there.

You rantards need to learn a thing or two about economics before discussing anything. When your money is on the line then you can tell businesses how to price items, for now youre relegated to doing what you do best, being armchair quarterbacks.

I read these threads to get some info, but when you guys give me the bat signal to come in and put your in your place, I dont mind making an appearance and giving an econ 101 lesson.

I don't doubt that most of the shite you've spewed in this thread is technically correct but you've come off as a bigtime a-hole.
