Forecasting an additional 15 inches of rain for Lake Charles. Bad news that town floods during a normal rain event.

I got caught in flooding on Wednesday and Thursday last week and that rain wasn't even associated with this. Literally 5 minutes of rain and the roads were covered around downtown LC.

Latest GFS is about 100 miles east of previous run through 78 hours (i.e. much closer to Euro)

The loss of life won't be as extreme but the flood damage over a huge densely populated area will be unprecedented. Not to mention other economic losses such as refineries shutting down.

Yeah death total will probably be much lower. Total economic loses will probably be worse.

Nothing to add here but I'm at a loss for words. I'm at Yale and I10 (right behind the "I love Houston" sculpture if you live in Houston...) and the White Oak Bayou flooding is incomprehensible. I'm on the high side so I'm dry but I walked over there to take pictures, don't know how to upload.

Finally moving north (good) to around Waco by 96 hours (Thursday morning) but closer to Houston than previous run - not good.

Anyone have any updates in the Cypress Lakes area? Have family near Barker Cypress that we haven't heard from in a while. Last word from them was that street was flooded. Appreciate any updates.

We broadcast as long as the TV Gods would allow, in this Houston flood. Transmitter down for now. We will be back on the air ASAP. #Harvey

Woodlands is fairing well. The lake and waterway are up, and closing roads to 45.

Most of The Woodlands handles water very well. Sawdust area and Timerlakes/Timber Ridge is the only real exception.
