Last year a lot of people left the power on when they evacuated. I saw several houses with the TV still going and water just below it. We had 45" of water in the houses in our subdivision and miraculously nobody was electrocuted. Power never went out! Cut the power off if you evacuated.

That would be about 30'-40' above normal levels. There is a huge slope and then the parking lot is up another 5-6 feet.
That is a shitload of water. It is normally about 40' wide. Getting into the studio would make it about 800' wide.

The GFS takes it back out over Corpus and then buries it in central TX. The Euro takes it back out over Corpus and brings it up through Houston in a few days.
Both models leave it between Victoria and Corpus over the next 48 hours.

Sad hearing people complain about 911 not responding... Understandable that they were in need of help, but you can't blame the rescuers for not being able to get to everyone.
Wonder what kind of hell the mayor is going to get for basically condemning the govs calls for evacuations and telling people to sit still, it won't be that bad.

God I hope not. I don't think many people could take a redux of what happened last year. People are just getting back in their houses. Another major flood may be too much for some.

Same here, Redbone. Watching the KHOU live feed is giving me anxiety and flashbacks from last August. It's gut wrenching. Not to mention the family and friends in Houston going through it that I'm also worried about.

I didn't say everyone. But a lot of people are getting them at least halfway livable. I was helping a buddy put floors in just the other week
