Rockport is a fairly old coastal town those structures had never had to be updated to new hurricane specs.

Yeah that's insane. You've got to take personal responsibility!

guess he's been doing this silly shite long enough that he's numb to the fact that people needed to leave long before the storm came and he was not out there to provide services to anoyone other than his team.
This is going to sound cold, but what are a handful of guys going to do in those conditions? What is Jeff going do do trying to sift thorough debris in 130mph winds?

Damn! When all the leaves are stripped from trees...you know it was bad. Looks like the dead of winter.

I recall that oddity after Katrina in 05. Further, I recall seeing what trees that remained sprouting new leaves in September/ October of that year.

Jeff is an Emmy Award winning storm chaser. You can go back and watch his feeds and skip around.
His videos from the Joplin Missouri Tornado were pretty insane. Before the storm hit, he was riding around in a panic trying to make people aware that some bad shite was about to come down. He also stopped and assisted a few people and got pretty emotional. It was my first exposure to Jeff.

I usually don't doubt, but that's a flimsy sheet metal structure. The Weather channel claims they have a car driving around Rockwall and there seems to be little damage. They have to be full of shite, correct? They aren't near Rockport, right?

Not cold at all. Have to take care of yourself.
Completely unrealistic to ask him to go out into the debris in the dark.

Dr. Erika Navarro seems talented. May just be that she has a PHd and is latina.

And do what with them? There's no exits out of a hurricane. You wanted to stay, now you have to ride it out. It's sad that some people are going to die because they thought it'd be cool or just too stubborn to leave.

In the situation he was in, the only people I might've helped would be children or the very elderly. frick everyone else until the storm passes. They knew it was coming and decided to be idiots and stay. That's on them.

The Weather Channel has a vehicle getting close to Rockport right now, they will be doing live coverage from Rockport....
Someone needs to tweet TWC and ask them to find the blueshed!
