This is the very thing that Universities are shielding from these people. I've seen it at all levels save M.D. but that's because the residency requirement. They preach safe place for these kids, and they get out and can't handle. Guess what, Tamara, your managing partner, co-counsel, opposing counsel, the courts . . . none of them are going to give you 50% extra. You need to reconsider this line of work.

Way to go Harvard. This is what you get when you attempt to hit demographic numbers. How does someone get a degree from Harvard Law and not pass the bar on the first try? Seriously. I don't care what type of bullshite testing accommodations you need.
I know some borderline idiots that passed on the first try.
What law firm wouldn't want to hire this superstar?

I hate this shite at law school
Accommodating for cognitive issues in a competitive and academic environment is idiotic. If you get in a wreck and you want the law school to hold your spot during recovery, fine. Same for an employer.
At LSU, these "afflicted" students would get time and a half.

She only gonna bill 900 hours/year?

You've actually had to write a memo based on case law/statutes while being prohibited from looking them up? How did that happen?

She's not a lawyer. She hasn't passed or been admitted to the bar.
She passed it on the 3rd try. She's suing bc she can't get a good job bc it took her 3 tries.

I would give her my BBB (big black bar).

Oh, my b. Not off the top of my head. Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. Also, the 4 hour exam where they expect you to outline dump and issue spot is just not how it works.

Plus NY is magnitudes more difficult than LA obviously
Don't think it is anymore. They've adopted the MBE portion. Maybe the writing part is graded pretty strictly, but half the test is the exact same thing that every other test taker gets (outside of LA).
LA is actually considered one of the hardest tests (going by pass rate).

Seriously...black people ride ATV's?

My anxiety and depression is precisely why I decided against law school and a road to big law. I wouldn't expect people to make exceptions for me because of those.

multiple people in law school pulled this bullshite that had absolutely no issues other than trying to be at the top of the class. It was sickening.

I know of some smart big firm lawyers who tried to test in to both NY and CA recently and had real issues. As far as I can tell both of those states' reputations are still deserved.

She passed on her third try last year. She's suing because her second failure (she was granted 50% extra time and a smaller testing room but no extra time for breaks) caused her to lose her job.
LSU did this--not sure if the LA Bar allowed it... Anyone have any info on it?

Exactly.
I'm not saying I know of a better system, because I can't think of a more efficient way of testing ~1500 applicants each year, but that doesn't mean that the Bar exam will accurately gauge who will be fit to practice.

We also had kids transfer in from lesser schools and the policy was to allow them to keep their GPAs from those schools for use in class ranking.
Law school administration is such a PC pile of shite

This reminds me of the people I need to sue for keeping me from getting my job in pro sports after college....
The MLB for not allowing me 50% more time to hit a fastball than other players who don't suffer from my same lack of hand/eye coordination.
The MLB for not moving the bases 50% closer to make up for other players who don't suffer from my lead feet.
The NBA for not lowering the goal to 8.5 ft. That way I could enjoy access to the same rump shaker dunks the other players enjoy who don't suffer from my whiteness.
I can't believe these evil corporations kept me from my destiny by not accommodating my handicaps...
