That is one hell of a good troll

Seriously - I can hardly listen to GB as it ages. A lot of it just seems cheesy as frick. GS, on the other hand, as aged like a fine wine. I'll still put it on just to chill on a nice day.

George is great. Some of his lyrics are just on a different level.

And not written by him

Can't support him because of his political stances.

Because we all know the OT only supports artists that are aligned with their personal beliefs.

That's the point I was trying to make. Posters on here have become so red faced angry with politics that they can't appreciate artists anymore

He said, it's cold out here and I'm all alone
Didn't make the short go again and I'm coming home
I know I've been away too long
I never got a chance to write or call
And I know this rodeo has been hard on us all
But I'll be home soon
And honey is there somethin' wrong

That may be one of the best country songs of all time.

George Strait has been playing his “last tour” for the past 10 years. Much like Ric Flair having his final retirement match.

Actually the Garth comment makes me think of a good analogy:

Hulk Hogan : Ric Flair
Garth Brooks : George Strait

I was listening to the Pure Country soundtrack today at work. Some really great songs from that movie.
