What are the chances the random road/highway shootings are related to the shooting in Baton Rouge? Or the rash of shootings on roads in Memphis?

Should have headed west first then north to Causeway then east on I-12. This is what happens when you get greedy and try to save time leaving New Orleans.

I can vouch that one of these victims was absolutely not in any kind of gang or drug trade. He was an electrical engineer. Terrible.

A number of them are random people with no ties to gang/drug activity. The reporter from Hammond has confirmed this.

It’s gang violence. The family knows why they were killed. They also know if they open their mouth they will be killed next.
Yea, sounds like gang violence.

There have been multiple reported I-10 shootings this year, mostly in New Orleans East. Back in January, a young mother, Whitney Watts, 34, was shot multiple times with her daughter in the back seat. Watts died at the scene, also near the Crowder Boulevard exit.

The first shooting happened around 6 p.m. on I-10 East at Read Boulevard. Police say a woman was driving when her vehicle was struck multiple times by gunfire. She was struck in the leg and taken to a hospital for treatment.
A second shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. on I-10 West at Franklin Avenue. Police say a man was driving when his car began taking gunfire. The man realized he was shot and took himself to the hospital.

see that's what i thought i read a while back as well, that some of these are just random people.
now the question really is, if there are several random people (b/c i assume some of it is just hood rat shite amoungst hood rats), then is it hood rats killing people for fun b/c they know they can get away with it, or is there some sick serial killer out there taking people out?
the fact that the majority are happing in NOEast and at night makes me lead more towards hood rats taking random people out for fun, or maybe even hood rats killing people in a case of mistaken identity.

In that criminals everywhere know how hard this is to police?

Don’t forget road rage as an option.
And I’d use that loosely as it could be over minor perceived offenses

They went back and subtracted the non-murder homicides.
What is a non-murder homicide?

Murder = criminal intentional homicide
Homicide = killing another person
All murders are homicides, not all homicides are murder. For example self defense is not murder.
Also just throwing your hands up and saying frick it means not murder.

How would you possibly know that unless they came forward.
Shot. Wrecked. Cops show up. Bring them to hospital. Survive!
Cops report a shooting, victim is never mentioned and doesn't give their account.

The reporter from Hammond has confirmed this.
Married couple were shot by their best man...in St Charles Parish.
Also he interviewed a guy who was shot up on I10, but never answered why the guy didn't call NOPD about the incident.
Dude is a hack who wants there to be a serial killer. But you know this.

Believe everything has been handgun at close range.

My grandparents lived in Pines Village. As a 10 or 11 year old, I could roam around outside there with my friend and/or my younger brother without adult supervision in the early 80's.
Let's just say that the demographic composition of the neighborhood changed greatly.

I get that. Some of them are random crossfire. Bullets are flying over there like downtown Baghdad. Most of them are gang hits or traditional ghetto violence using a new tactic.

Damn.
And I thought it was vicious when perps were throwing bricks through cars windows stopped in traffic.
Is there a bloodier interstate segment in the USA?
