Handicap Parking Violations

I hate needing to use a cane or walker to get to doctor appointments, shop, or go out to eat. It is even worse when I have to park then see that the vehicles in the HC spots do not have legit hangtags.
LE does not care, when was the last time you saw a car towed? Many times, if no close spots are available, I just have to go home.
I hope these asshats burn in hell.

My Mother in law is 87 and uses a walker. She hasn't driven in years. so my wife has her handicap tag in her car. we only use it if she is with one of us. It expired a week ago and they freaked out. Cost them 20 to renew. I told them not to worry about the expiration date but they insisted on getting it renewed. Somehow having to renew so the state

The counterfeit HC rear view mirror tags are as common within the EBT community as counterfeit Gucci handbags.

Yep. When my parents went to get a tag it was hard to get one. Now they give them out like candy.

Certain people have figured out that there's no punishment for this. Its rare that I walk into a store and not see at least 2 cars with no tag and no placard parked in handicap spots these days. In their defense its hard to walk very far in slippers so they just park in the handicap spots.
We are already super short handed on cops and there are literally thousands of parking lots in EBR alone. Enforcing this has become a logistic impossibility

I have many clients in Baton Rouge that are retail business owners and years ago HC parking violations were aggressively enforced & with hefty fines especially for a 2nd offense. When shoppers or store personnel saw an obvious violation BR city police were eager to help out.
That all changed when....
Big Headed Broome was elected mayor and she vowed to take care of her "Peeps"

99% of the time it's black people and most are young. No HC stickers and they know it will not be enforced, especially at WalMarts and convenience stores. It's a pet-peeve of mine to see a perfectly health person park in a handicap spot.

I park in the pickup spots and always available. Just about as close as a handicap (which I would never park in one).
I’m not gonna park farther away so lazy people can park close to have someone deliver their shite to them while they sit in AC.

I recently had an Air Canada flight through Washington Reagan. AC shares the ghetto terminal* there with Southwest Airlines. The pre boarding boarding onto the two SW flights at the gates near my gate’s location was just like Lester Maddox would have predicted.
Many “disabled” folks with endless numbers of associated fellow travelers.
The only saving grace for the fellow SW passengers is that SW now has assigned seating.
*Terminal 1, the original DCA 1930s terminal that got a “Logan’s Run” update 50 years ago.
Terminal 2 there by contrast is beautiful, it evokes a Gothic Revival aesthetic. Airy, bright and clean.

I hate that crap. I refuses to park in a HC spot no matter how far away I am. It’s disrepectful and makes me more of a worthless person.
