Pretty sure Istanbul is the hair transplant capital of the world. Very cheap and effective even after paying to get there.

This. I shave mine every other day with a razor and have a completely white beard. Going to the gym and being reasonably large helps with the look. I don't have any trouble with ladies.

The process my friend had was where they remove each follicle and implant it elsewhere. There was no mention about removing the scalp.

I did Bosley in Houston 20+years ago. They only allow so may follicles in one area at a time. It was roughly $1 per follicle. 10k was max at the time. They numb your scalp then pump it with fluid to help seperate. Then they took a damn skill saw and cut out a strip from the back the head. They staple that part up. Permanent scar that I didn't prepare for. Then they set each follicle in the transplant area over the next few hours. You are awake the entire time. No pain just time consuming. Works but would need multiple visits. Didn't want to spend anymore money. I'm now shaved with a huge arse scar as of last year

I just had a coworker come back from Turkey for a hair transplant. He said it was much cheaper and everything was legit. He had no complaints. He has a full head of hair at the moment.

I remember Joe Biden having visible plugs at one time but seems to have had them corrected.

Then there are other notables.

Maybe its just the xenophobe in me, but I wouldn't trust a Turkish hair transplant.

Work with a guy that went to Turkey a few years ago because his hairline was receding. Now he’s getting a bald spot in the back. Guess he’ll have to go back.

FTR, I'm bald as frick, horseshoe style. Was actually thinking about laser hair removal on my head so I don't have to shave the back and sides two/three times a week.

The story of the friend's dad was intriguing to me, until I heard about the continuing medication. I tried some of those meds about 15 years ago, but stopped when I read about all the side effects. Decided I would rather be bald.

What meds exactly?

Propecia. I was taking it for about 6 months when there was a blood drive at work. They declined me because I was taking it, so I decided to take a deeper look. I really had no idea and just trusted my doctor.

Men's hair is like women's fashion. Women dress for other women. No woman you want to be around is worrying about your hair unless it is obvious that you are spending time worrying about it.

It's crazy how many points having a full head of hair adds to you. That said, if you're married already, what's the point.
