She had a wonderful life and lived 14 years. She had a rough two days and it was best to put her down. She won't be suffering anymore.

So sad...sorry to hear that.

Sorry man. First days are tough but the memories will help provide comfort.

I hate these threads in a way, but I read them.
Dogs are awesome.

That is terrible news. I dread the day we have to make that decision. Prayers sent.

14 years is a great run.

Sorry, brother. That's tough. My yellow lab-mix is 7 years old. I dread the day we have to make that decision.

wow, she looks just like my yellow lab, she will turn 15 if she makes it till Saturday, definitely been on the decline and I know the day is coming
best cure for a broken heart from losing a dog is to get a new puppy

I'm sorry, man. My old lab is nearing the end of his time here, too. It'll be a miracle if he makes it to 12 years old in March. It's going to be really tough; always is, but he made the move to Columbia with me and was my only real friend I had around for a while and it'll rip my heart out when we have to make that decision.

Sorry to hear that. She looked like a grand old gal. Hopefully you can lay her to rest where you can visit her.

Great looking pup. Be comforted knowing that you gave her a great life.

Very sorry to hear that. I was close to that point with out Dane recently, but he passed in his sleep two weeks ago. Worst part about having a dog.

Seriously man, this is not an easy thing to do. It makes me feel for you even more since you included her picture.
They become part of our family, you get accustom to them being around, just like a person.
When I had to put my last dog down (he was 12 years old, had health problems and to rush him to the LSU vet school one night. He had to be put down), there was about a week's time between putting him down and getting my new pup and the first two days I put his food out for him, went to let him outside.. And then kept doing things that reminded me he wasn't there. But at least she isn't suffering bro..

Inomm34,
Since you dread that day, learn this.
Everything is on loan from God.
You, your dog, every thing and everyone. On loan.
This a dog thread or i would explain more about desire and loss. More appropriate for spouse/divorce thread.

A dog breaks your heart one time.

Sorry for your loss OP. Mine is a member of the family, as I'm sure yours was also.
Remember the good times. She was lucky to have a warm and loving home with you.
