not sure why you'd think it was extreme if it helped prevent injury or death to someone.

I've only done that twice in my life and both times I waited until I couldn't possibly ignore the danger anymore. Both times were late at night with not many people on the road, but the person was practically swerving 20 feet at a time from one side of the road to the other. I mean at that point I can't just ignore it.

Technically not a citizens arrest but definitely doing your civic duty.

I used to work at a Smoothie King on high school and I called the cops on 3 or 4 people who obviously drunk or on drugs.

One of these guys parked his car across 3 parking spots on an angle, couldn’t even talk, had to point to his smoothie choice while grunting. When it came time to pay he gave me a $5 for a $6 smoothie. I just took the 5 and called the cops.

They found him asleep at the wheel at a stop light about a mile down. The cops called me back to thank me for being a good citizen.

You potentially saved lives today.

Thats not a citizens arrest.

You’re not even sure if there was an arrest...

Why make a thread about it tho? Like, good on you for taking the appropriate action, but posting it comes off as virtue signaling iyam.

On a side note, was he black? I want to make sure Big Scrub's assumptions about us being racists bear out.

The man obviously doesn't give a shite about anyone else. Just wants to dull his miserable life. Thanks for stopping him from spreading his misery to someone else.

It’s spring break for school systems and universities this week...and they don’t “get out for lunch” anyway.

You took the correct action, don’t let anyone tell you different.

You parked at a gas pump so you could go inside and get a honey bun.

Check

School getting out for lunch? What the hell are you talking about? It’s not a manufacturing facility.

Check

Finished pumping your gas then somehow caught up to him.

Check

Three strikes- bullshite.

This thread is probably a conundrum for the OT, first you helped by getting a DD off the street, but then you are also a rat.

Good job btw, I have reported a DD before. They almost hit me three times, others and pedestrians. it was bad

I don't care if youre behind the wheel chugging bourbon, if you are driving safely.

But the second I see you drunk and doing something dangerous, your arse is grass.

he already said in the OP that the guy was slurry before he bought the beer. Seems to me that the guy was already drunk, bought more beer, and was already drinking again as he pulled away and headed towards the school.
