This is going to be extremely anti-climatic because after that he left and everything was fine. But as you can see in the title, my biggest question is what would you have done? In hindsight I should have just walked out and pulled the door shut and read the card to him, but I wasn't thinking that quickly on my feet. Have you ever had a delivery guy just walk in the house? I also considered calling the restaurant and telling them all this, but looking back it was just a case of an old guy trying to make a few bucks so I didn't want him to get in trouble.

the only viable scenario is to turn that into a porn scene. I assume you are a guy, so that means sucking his dick. Sorry about that.

There is a certain object that dispenses items at a very high velocity next to my door, I promise you he wouldn't have entered.

I wouldn't have stayed on the phone giving directions so probably would haven't gotten the food. If someone is delivering something I expect that they have a phone that gives them directions. I just sold a bunch of stuff on Craigslist and didn't give a single direction and have certainly never given directions to delivery people.

Somehow that guy memorized your CC # or took a photo with a mini cam. He also got the 3 digit code off the back. It might be weeks before he tries to use it or gives it to a criminal associate who will. I would cancel the card and have a new one reissued just to be safe.

Of course, this is worst case scenario but your intuition told you something was off. Can't trust anyone especially when they were handling your CC in an odd fashion. Some people are pros at that kind of shite.

Your blood pressure probably needs immediate attention if you get this worked up over a stupid anecdote.

And I mean, you're the one who read the whole thing..whose fault is that?

Waiting for something odd. So an old guy who isn't great with directions and needs a bit more light to see small print delivered your food in a timely manner.

Are you still not in full control of your faculties?

He said there wasn't enough light and had to come in to see. I wasn't in complete and total control of my mental faculties at that time so as I'm standing there thinking of what to say he just walks right on in.

How is he able to get in, are you standing 10 feet away from the door or something? When I answer the door I step a bit outside so they can't come in like that. And I make sure they notice my 55lb dog growling at them before I step outside, I think that probably helps too ;)

You weren't thinking straight and he's probably new, a little slow or both so you handled the situation as it should have been handled.
