Had an odd situation with a food delivery person last weekend...WWYD?

So last weekend I ordered some delivery to my apt. I'm a male and live alone. Also worth noting that I didn't have cash so elected to pay by card, but instead of the restaurant taking it over the phone they said the driver will scan it. Cool.
First of all..the guy calls me (and he's early btw, so hat tip there) and says he can't find my complex. I repeat the address and he says he drove past it. Instead of hanging up he's having me stay on with him and direct him there. Then he enters the complex and is having me direct him directly to my door. So I'm thinking this is kinda weird.
He finally knocks on the door and tells me the total and I hand him my card. Now this guy looks a bit older than a typical driver, definitely over 50 but maybe even approaching mid 60s, and something just kinda seemed weird. He said there wasn't enough light and had to come in to see. I wasn't in complete and total control of my mental faculties at that time so as I'm standing there thinking of what to say he just walks right on in. He comes in and sets the food down on the table and starts inputting my card number in the reader. At this point I'm a little miffed because wtf man. I look at what he's doing and realize that my CC is upside down as he's putting the numbers in. I tell him so and he laughs and goes "oh goodness, first time that's happened". So at this point I'm very on edge with what's happening and start thinking he's casing the place or trying to rob me or something.
This is going to be extremely anti-climatic because after that he left and everything was fine. But as you can see in the title, my biggest question is what would you have done? In hindsight I should have just walked out and pulled the door shut and read the card to him, but I wasn't thinking that quickly on my feet. Have you ever had a delivery guy just walk in the house? I also considered calling the restaurant and telling them all this, but looking back it was just a case of an old guy trying to make a few bucks so I didn't want him to get in trouble.

Don't have strangers come to your house when you are high might be a good start at avoiding this

I tend to discredit stories when the storyteller was high as a kite

I aim to be a polite person, so it probably would have gone down the same exact way. Would have felt weird but wouldn't have been some disproportionate dick about.

You were just high and got paranoid.

I'd make sure I have really good lighting at my front door.

What about the one where that poster swore his friend shoved a finger up his dog's arse?

Nope because I stand in the doorway and I wouldnt let him if he tried.

Was he even black?

Sounds like the guy was just new to the job.
Cut him some slack, he was probably a petroleum engineer until last week.

I just always go pick my food up myself. Just one of my quirks I suppose.

Plot twist: You were high as frick delivering pizza to his house.

New guy not used to this kind of work messing up multiple times. That's all it is. Most restaurants (in my experience) will instruct their delivery people not to enter the house for any reason. It's a liability issue.

Had a really aggressive Vivint home security sales rep knock on my door and then come inside to tell me about their service.
I let him talk for about 30 seconds, and then told him that he had to leave. He had this blank stare in his eyes, it made me think that he had experienced first hand all the horrors that mankind is capable of.
Immediately my mind raced; was he some sort of ancient demon parading as a Vivint sales rep? Was he mentally disturbed? Or was he simply the accumulation of Western Civilization's collective neurosis? Had he completely lost his identity while traveling door to door, witnessing the horrors of American suburbia?
"Why are you upset?" he breathed, as I took a step back.
My heart skipped as I realized that I had upset this deadly serpent from ancient times. Slowly, steadily, he opened his J. Crew satchel while never breaking eye contact with me. Sweat poured down my brow as I started to re-trace my life's story. It had been a good life, and it was a shame that no one would fully know the terror at the end. Certainly this vesper had appeared to others, and all had certainly met the same fate as I was about to.
His sickly hand produced from the satchel a late model iPod touch. Still he never looked away from me. He quickly dialed in his passcode and the last words I heard from him were:
"Everyone get on the floor and do the dinosaur".
