He's a pretty open guy on this forum. He posted on the Bama board a few years ago that he was a recovering heroine addict. Really hope it all works out.

If you plead for help with money and receive 21k... which you know he has checked and hasn’t popped in to say thank you then makes you wonder. He opened the GFM not the OT. He didn’t wait long to ask for money but sure is waiting long to thank. Hope he didn’t mix Xanax with his wife’s pain pills.

I wasn't going comment but I stalked his family in my own way and can verify that he and his wife's family are not very well off.
And more importantly his post history raised zero redflags.
I'm proud to be one of you magnificent mfers today. Y'all really came through for a member of this motely crew.
I suspect he's embarrassed at the attention he brought his and her family, albeit grateful for the support. And his family is locking down social media for privacy. That's absolutely fine and acceptable.
