Here is the dilemma For every a-hole that gets offended that the flag wasn't flown at half mass, there is another a-hole that is offended that the flag is flown at all and another a-hole that would get offended if you flew the flag at half mass. This country is getting full of a bunch of a-holes that want to run around filming their hissy fits while sticking their faces in other people's business.
Eh. That's a compelling line of thought, but it only works if you ignore the issues specific to this case. I'm not saying that being offended by this type of stuff is a good thing. I'm saying that it makes sense that the people who really care about the flag get offended by this.
If we are going to fly the flag we should fly it the way it's supposed to be flown, for the same types of reason we shouldn't buy a Koran and flush it down the toilet in front of a Muslim.

I'm amazed that the douche has so many supporters rallying around 'Merica! frick yeah!
Sickening that not only is he allowed to bully in the name of the flag, but also is cheered on by blinded idiots.

If you don't like the flag at McDonalds, go to Burger King.

Why are you posting that to me?
Posted on 3/16/15 at 10:06 am to Oates Mustache
Probably because you were the last post.

As a combat veteran myself and knowing one the men that died in the crash I understand the SSG request to have the flag lowered. I understand his frustration when he calls and they essentially hang up on him ( I have no idea if he "cursed her out" I have met the SSG before very nice guy so this was out of character for him) I appreciate the concern he has for veterans, but you don't have to go in and make a scene.
There are better ways to go about it to get you point across.

Did he mention that he has done 4 combat tours?

Why do people get mad at people who don't know any better? He should have called the main office.

I'm pissed that he's blocking and deleting anything that doesn't cheerlead what he did, and leaving 'Merica frick yeah! posts.

What started out as a way to honor those guys turned into a pathetic attempt to make something go viral and bully a bunch of low wage workers. The guy dishonored the memory of those men instead of doing something for their honor.

My dad, Marine veteran of 3 wars (WWII, Korea, Vietnam) said "I don't think McDonald's is obligated to have their flag at half-mast and if I worked fast food, I doubt that I would have thought about it."
He has an American and Marine flag in front of the house, and I don't think he ever puts them at half-mast.
The man needs to settle down.

The guy is definitely not a douche. He's a veteran and I appreciate his service. Everyone on here ripping him are probably half the man he is. FACT
