Grown men who get excited about live music?

What do you think about these people? A guy I know (who is not gay), in his mid 30s, is just floored I have no interest in going to South by Southwest stuff all weekend.
I get the college kids, etc....but this seems odd to me that 30 and 40 something males are all giddy over live music.

if you can't get excited over Florida Georgia Line or Luke Bryan coming to your town then there's something wrong with you

Some people like music, some people like art, some people get excited about college kids running around with a ball.

There's a difference between enjoying concerts and enjoying music festivals.
ETA: Not that there's anything wrong with either...

Being "grown" just means I can afford good seats that I never could as a kid. Seats where I can sit, be old, and just enjoy the show.

Not as bad as people have to seek approval for their thoughts on the internet.

Why would people who liked live music in college stop getting excited about live music in their 30s?

I know a group of 30 somethings that travel all over to watch different live shows with a few bands they like. Not really something that's ever interested me, but to each his own. Everyone has their thing, no reason to condemn someone because their thing is different than your thing.

its a bit weird for grown men to get excited about watching a bunch of 20 year old black guys tossing a ball around
