I would like to go with someone I love who has never gone. But otherwise, no way. I have 2 unused 3 day passes from like 1991 around here somewhere.

You have multiple generations of adults who grew up going to Disney World, who still enjoy going as adults. Not a thing in the world wrong with doing so.

Personally, I have kids and wouldn’t go without taking them with us, but pre-kids my wife and I went as a couple. Strong chance my son was conceived on that trip. ??

If you are going to really complain about Disney tourist stuff, I would start with personal hygiene, people coming to an dead stop in the middle of walkways and people cutting in lines (Disney employees do nothing as a whole about this).

What the hell is wrong with these people?

It's fun to ride rides, and disappear in distraction and beer and fun. Harry Potter world is badass. Galaxy's edge is badass, despite my hate for what disney has done to star wars.

etc

Really not hard to understand.

Yeah, but you can't be cool and edgy trying to score internet points with that attitude.

There is so much wrong here. I think it's laughable to see people so closed-minded.

While I do agree that "Disney Adults" are inherently weird people, I do not think adults going to Disney is weird.

Also you never know people circumstances. The adults in front of you could be there because their only kid died or they just found out they are having one, or someone is watching them, or they are sick... There are 1000 different reasons why they exist. You should not let that bother you. Be mad at Disney for not expanding their parks to accommodate the large crowds, not the people that go to have a great time.

As someone who’s gone to Disney and Universal with my brothers as adults and also brought kids for a couple of trips - I can say without question - going without kids is so much more fun.

Kids are into the pageantry of Disney. They like the gift shops and concessions and people dressed as giant cartoon characters. For adults, there are some incredibly kick arse rides. Rides you don’t get to enjoy with kid in-tow. Also, kids get worn out from the walking quick. So it’s usually back to the hotel by mid-day or you are carrying around a zonked out kid for the last half of the day.

Disney is awesome for kids. But it’s also pretty fun for adults too.

And I can get that.... but it's the childless adults who go at LEAST twice a year that make me scratch my head.... im not saying there's no way for it to be fun, but this population truley has no desire to do anything else on vacation and I find it a little bizarre

It's a little weird and not for me, but to each their own. Doesn't effect my life in the slightest.

I can totally see this, as hauling kids through Disney is work, no matter how you slice it. The head scratchers are the couples who go multiple times per year, have matching t-shirts/mouse ears for each day of the trip, and then post every single picture.

It's also not cheap. You would think after a few trips you might want to splurge for real France, not the Epcot version.

I have family there.

Same family that sometimes goes to Disney as adults with no children because my parents bought a timeshare so we pay nothing to go.
